Ocean County Career Center

Ocean County Career Center is the county’s public workforce partner and a proud member of the American Job Center network. We align local businesses, education providers, and job seekers to build a stronger talent pipeline for Ocean County. Through no-cost recruitment, training, and placement services, we reduce employers’ time-to-hire and help residents gain credentials that lead to family-sustaining careers.

What we do for employers

• Candidate referrals and screening: Share job descriptions and we’ll source, pre-screen, and refer qualified applicants.
• Customized hiring events: On-site, virtual, or multi-employer job fairs promoted across our regional network.
• On-the-Job Training (OJT) incentives: Eligible hires can qualify your business for wage reimbursements (up to 50% of wages for a defined training period; program caps apply).
• Labor market and salary insights: Local data on occupations, skills, and wages to inform hiring and retention.
• Upskilling pathways: Connections to industry-recognized training, apprenticeships, and short-term credentials for current staff and new hires.

• Career coaching, resume/interview support, and job matching
• Training and certification pathways (grant-funded for eligible participants)
• Specialized services for veterans, individuals with disabilities, reentry candidates, and young adults
